All about THC Syrup

THC syrup is just that: a syrup that contains THC, and it’s definitely the sweeter way to utilize cannabis. You pretty much use it the same way other syrups would. You can make mocktails with this, add this to dessert toppings or just take it like you would regular medicine.

This is something that does get confused with Purple Drank, which is a major problem in the opiate crisis.  That drink has cough syrup and codeine in it, and it’s caused a lot of damage, but some cannabis users are under fire because the products look similar. This is something that a lot of people do advertise because they want to see it as a bad thing, and you can also make it at home without many problems. But no, THC syrup is not the same as Lean or Purple Drank, but here’s what it is.

What this syrup Is

This is basically a syrup that's like regular cough syrup, but it’s got a bunch of THC and other cannabinoids in it. It’s got a concentrate, and also extract, along with a layer of vegetable or coconut oil to it. This is the agent that helps it bind together.

It looks like cough syrup, and the way you take it is basically a spoonful of it.  This is one that people use because of how faster acting this is, compared to edibles, or even under the tongue in a tincture. Plus, with this, you can get the exact dosage, because of the labels that are availible in dispensaries.

This is one that tastes good, but keep in mind that it is similar to regular syrups, so if you’re trying to avoid high sugar, or are a diabetic, you want to be mindful of these.  You may want to also look for the sugar-free types of THC syrup that’s out there.

How to take This

Sublingual is the best one to use underneath the tongue. Cannabinoids and THC are those that work quickly when they get absorbed, as they’re usually super-fast, and don’t need to be digested.

When you take this sublingually, the blood vessels do enter this into your bloodstream. Sometimes, you may feel a quick high when you get a spoonful. You can dose this with a dropper, and then place this underneath the tongue before you swallow. You can also flavor teas, water, juices, or anything else that needs that sweet taste to it.

You can also get this in recipes that are homemade, and you can mix this with your syrup to use on pancakes, or even mix it with frosting to create a THC-filled cake topper. As always, measure that dosage that you have before you start.

The benefits

The cool thing about this, is that it’s good for practically all the same things that regular THC products are good for. So if you’ve got inflammation, nausea, appetite issues, or relaxation, this is great for it.

Is this Safe?

Yes it is.

Probably the one downside to his, is that it tastes so good, you’ll want to consume a ton of it! That of course, can lead to too much THC, which is no fun to deal with. As always, if you’re taking this for a medical condition, always take the recommended dosage, and don’t try to take too much of this. Talk to your doctor before you start to consume this product. Also, if you have high blood sugar, or a history with diabetic problems, you might want to sit this one out, because this can be a big problem for those people.
